I'm....sorry...we're...gosh, mustn't upset madam...haha...in the process of applying for our settlement visa. I reckon it's going to cost about £6k from start to finish. That is including a week in Manila for both of us. I figured I would rather take my documents as it gives me an excuse to see my Mrs. My other half lives in Mindanao and the travelling and hotel bills really add up. Anyone else have an idea of their total cost? Still...having her home will be worth every penny.
@bigmac is the forum mathematician He will tell you, all I can tell you is that its very expensive, and yes worth every penny, for the time being at least
at todays rates---not including flights hotels meals--bribes etc..... spouse visa fee--£1195--paid in $ so more like £1300 plus IHS fee £600 premium priority service--? +£500 FLR fee--£811...+ £500 IHS-------premium service not necessary IMO. ILR fee after 5 years-----£1875 citizen ship---£1236 £6717.
How much do people spend on cars, houses, hobbies, holidays abroad ? How much a month is a loan for a few grand these days (maybe only three, to get things moving) at current low interest rates. Well worth it to have a loved one with us for the rest of our lives, I'd have thought. Priorities.
Its around £956 paid in USD at the time of online application, no NHS surcharge to pay until you apply for the first FLR(M)
Oh its £956 for the first payment? I thought its £1195 or is it a different application? The nhs surcharge cost £500, then FLR costs £811? Just making sure
You can use the link below to check on the visa costs, note that you do not have to pay the NHS surcharge until you are married in the UK and applying for the first FLR(M). https://www.gov.uk/visa-fees
