thanks Joii991 for the input. do anyone of you know how much sending the documents alone using DHL or fedex?
mehergate can you experience what happened to your box or documents in general when you did what my husband is planning to do?
than thanks again for the input Choiandjohn. so ot just mens he will have to send the other stuff separately from the documents. was thinking of mens to save cost. lol
added question everyone, my husband lost his passport with stamps proving that he came here in the philippines and got a new one now without the stamps. anyone of you have any idea how to deal this? i have the stamps photocopied though and its with me here in manila. help please. salamat!
It depends on the size and weight of the package, its not cheap but it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg either, basically you don't really have many options so you will just have to pay. Only send the visa documents, do not include any other items in the package. Send other items separately from the visa paperwork.
If you have a copy of his passport stamps you can submit them, just write on the pages that the stamps are from a previous passport, either include a photocopy of his old passport biometrics page if you have or write the passport number on the sheets. You can also submit his flight tickets as back up and any hotel receipts etc to cover for the periods he came to visit you in the Philippines.
thanks a lot timmers!! may i know what is the advantage of doing the idea of my husband. i would want to explain it to him so he would be warned not to do what he is thinking.
Because if you include other items in the visa package it stands a much better chance of being held up in Philippine customs.
thank you so much timmers for the input!! should i have it certified true copy here i mean the photocopy if my husbands previous passport biometrics and stamps?
thanks timmers!! it means it will take a longer time for me to received the documents or the box itself.
Ask him to send a "seen as true copy" passport photocopy (his new passport), it only costs around £5 for a solicitor to do it in the UK
Yes. Better to get the visa documents as soon as you can as the financial documents are time sensitive.
It wasn't more than a £100 but that consisted only of one set of bank statement in our experience. Of all the expenses you will incur in the visa application, the courier shouldn't be compromised.
If your husband has a birth certificate, it would be enough though I've read before that somebody has submitted a scanned passport of the husband and the visa was granted.
Hi @dennie! We went for DHL Envelope 1, £39. It only had the most recent payslip, bank statement, and mobile bill. http://parcel.dhl.co.uk/dhl-service-point/size-and-price-guide
