Hello everyone. I hope all is well and I can see you all are behaving nicely. I may not be commenting but I am lurking and watching you..lol.. Anyway, my Dad's coming to spend Christmas with us if visa gets approved. I and hubby will be sponsoring him for everything as he is retired. I sent the following docs: 1. Our passports 2. Our p60 3. Our council tax - as proof of address 4. Sponsorship form provided by home office. 5. Cover letter 6. Flight tickets, hotel confirmations, planned itinerary On his end, he's going to provide: 1. NBI Clearance 2. His passport 3. Certification from supreme court that he has scheduled pro-bono cases next year so he will return 4. Social service doc to prove he is receiving pension My question is, are these docs enough? Am I missing something? Do we all need to send our bank statements and pay slips and does my dad need to provide his bank statement as well? Do we need to also provide a leeter from our employer? Please let me know before he books a visa appointment. Thanks.
Hi @florgeW! If you're funding his stay, you should include payslips and bank statements. Would also add weight if he provided his own statements.
Hello Florg, My dad has just got his 6 months visit visa. He applied on the 7th of september. And took almost 15 days. Me and my husband is the main sponsor so we provided most of the docs. He is retired aswell and started receiving his pension. We provided; Invitation letter 6 months worth of Bank statements Savings account Employment certificates Payslips P60 Mortgage agreement/Rentals Proof of remittances Copy of our passports Copy of our marriage certificate And on his end he provided; Birth and Marriage certificates Savings account Bank statement as proof he receives pension monthly Record of employment Certificate of retirement Any remittances from other children But we have not provides any plane tickets yet. Goodluck!
Oh dear. Didn't send payslips. Both our payslips are not paper-based anymore but can be printed off through company intranet. Is that okay? 6 months worth of statements? Good grief! I intended to provide just 3 months worth.. and we don't have any mortgage anymore so we would provide the original title of home ownership?
H Hi! No didnt need to submit the sponsorship form as its only a 6months visa. I think if it is more than 6 months visit visa then you need to fill up and sign the sponsorship one.
Hi everyone. Just wanted to get advice as we're planning to invite my auntie here in the UK to spend Christmas, so planning for her to be here the whole of December. She's a government emplolyee but doesn't have much savings to prove that she could financially maintain her stay here for a month. She has her own property in the Philippines and has a stable job in the government, thus she would have evidence of any income for the last 6 months. We will sponsor her stay . The question is, is it the same rule apply for a financial requirement like of that a spouse/fiance visa application? My mom and my sister is living in a council house. I just rented my one (one bedroom flat) as I just applied my wife for a spouse visa which was successful and she will be here in 2 weeks time. Yey! Will you know if there will be an issue if the temporary accommodation that we will provide as proof my Mom and my sister accommodation is a council flat? (It is a 3 bedroom flat). Since I am only renting a 1 bedroom flat, it might be considered as overcrowding as I know that 1 bedroom flat should have a maximum of 2 persons living in that property? Or will that be acceptable since she will just be here for the Christmas season? My mom is on a part time employment and is earning less than the financial requirement for a spouse/fiance visa threshold but with a reasonable amount of savings. My sister on the other hand, earns more than the threshold. For this part, could they both support the application of my auntie as a sponsor to her visit in the UK? Will appreciate your comments and suggestions.
