Yeah @Josephine bradley my comment is old. Lol

I have also submitted resignation letter and my last day will be 18th next month so if the application gets rejected, triple the frustration.

Re TB Test.... anyone here who experienced bringing along a toddler with them?

Made an appointment with them today through sms set for next week. Along the exchange of messages I mentioned of my daughter two and a half years old. Silly me I thought she wasn't required thinking I was the one only required for my settlement visa, that she is exempted for having an Irish passport? If I'm not mistaken they are requiring us the TB test because the disease is prevalent in SE Asia?

So yeah back to my first question? I'm quite anxious of having a toddler with me then have no idea for how long are we going to stay in the clinic? Two hours or max?

My mother tagged along with me, so I guess yeah you can bring someone with you in the clinic.

However, I wouldn't suggest taking a toddler because you need to get inside the doctor's room for a bit of interview and Xray room. I was in the clinic by 7:50AM and finished around 9:30AM. Then quickly went to Marco Polo Ortigas to take the IELTS exam by 1:30PM. All in one day. :)

The clinic is comfy. I think ours took 2 hours. Imagine how difficult it was to have a 1 year-old boy with us. He kept walking around and even coughed right after being seen by the doctor which made me scared that he calls him again to get him x-rayed!

The IOM staff are helpful so you'll be fine with a toddler.

Tip: Take note of the UK address where you'll be staying as well as the contact number of your sponsor.

Oops, my mistake. Both of them are applying pala. As for the child:

    Children
All children must see a clinician who’ll decide if they need a chest x-ray. Children under 11 will not normally have a chest x-ray.

You must take your child to an approved clinic and complete a health questionnaire. If the clinician decides your child doesn’t have TB they’ll give you a certificate. Include this certificate with your child’s UK visa application.

Who doesn’t need to be tested
You won’t need a TB test if any of the following apply:

    • you’re a diplomat accredited to the UK
    • you’re a returning UK resident and haven’t been away for more than 2 years
    • you lived for at least 6 months in a country where TB screening is not required by the UK, and you’ve been away from that country for no more than 6 months
    See link: https://www.gov.uk/tb-test-visa/overview

Thanks for correcting me @joi1991 :like:

Thank you! :) That gave us a good laugh. My husband after spending nearly two decades in Asia made him wonder if he should take the test too lol.

You guys should still get the last payout even the pro-rated 13th month pay.
My last day at work is Nov. 18 which means I won't get my bonus as it will be released on end of November but its OK. Nothing could be more valuable than the time I have left to spend with my family before flying to uk

i think it will be included in the backpay so i guess it's okay. :) i'd like to spend Christmas too with my family that's why i'm resigning early. i already spent my leaves on so many vacations so if i don't file my resignation this November then i can't go home to our province this December, will be stuck here in Manila :'(

by the way, when are you leaving Joi? did you book your flight already? i'm a bit scared to travel solo from here to UK. it will be first time to fly out of the country! :D so we will just get the direct flight from PAL so there would be no layovers in other countries. hahahahaha

To fly alone especially first time could really be scary. Just do research and the steps you will be doing in the airport and you'll be fine. Just appear presentable not like you're going to a bar lol. And bring a pen & travel tax cash with you :)

Our flights were already booked December 22nd. And I don't have the visa in my hands yet. Haha!

It's frustrating to think I wouldn't get to spend Christmas with my family however excited to experience it UK style.

When are you planning to submit the application?
