Corina took the PAL non-stop flight. But honestly you can take either the Emirates flight and change at Dubai or the Cathay Pacific flight and change at Hong Kong and you will never be out of sight of Filipinos who can help you.
Yes, will take note of that. Thanks Joi! For sure your visa will arrive before your travel date. And at least you'll get to experience Christmas in UK! I'm so jealous! I'm planning to apply first week of December. I hope to travel there March next year. Fingers-crossed. I hope we'll get the visa!
Oh! This time I will just apply a Tourist Visa again to celebrate Christmas in Uk too my flight will be Qatar airways, I experience last June a direct flight. but for now Qatar airways is cheaper than Pal. LOL.
just an update. i took my tb test this morning and finally i got the certificate! no TB for me! hahahahahaha. i was so dreading the tb test because i wasn't feeling well for the past two weeks. i was coughing and sneezing really bad. i had to take meds just to get well. i really thought i'd fail the exam. but i got the certificate! yey! now, all of our docs are complete. just waiting for my partner to send them from UK then we can finnaly apply for the visa! yey!
Suffering from cough also! Yayyy! Good luck @katkatmachine Don't forget to photocopy the original documents
thanks @tipipay. about the docs, should i pass the original (P60, tenancy agreement, inspection report etc.) or just the photocopies?
Submit your original and photocopied docs, @katkatmachine. On the day of your application, you will submit 2 sets of documents - the original set is for the British embassy, while the photocopied set is handed in to VFS for their records. The original set will be returned to you when decision has been made.
okay. thanks @Dav3&Ai5a. we're now starting to print all the docs. my partner is a bit hesitant to send her original P60 cause it's the only copies that she have. will just have to convince her to send them. thanks again.
You can submit the originals but make sure you have the complete set of photocopies. At the the time of application at the VFS office, they will ask for the original set of documents you want to submit - ie appendix, chat logs, bank statements, ielts, tb test etc (and put it on one envelope) and then they will ask for the photocopies of the same set (which goes to another envelope). I had the same order of photocopies with the originals so i know where to find everything in the same order as the other one. The two set is then put in one massive black document bag along with other documents from the vfs. The UKVI website do mention that you have to photocopy everything because if they dont see any copies, they will take the originals with them. Check, double check and triple check just to make sure. I even asked my sister to do another check for me (since sometimes, when you get into the details you loose track of the obvious mistakes). I got all the original documents back along with my passport based on my own check list of important dox.
I scanned/backed up all documents btw, so in case one paper gets lost or anything, there is a readily available copy to print.
My fiance's p60 is an electronic copy. So he just sent me the e-copy thru email then I printed. I made 2 copies of everything -- for the original pack and photocopy pack. A few more e-copies in case you're interested: his salary slips, employment certificate, most recent month of bank statements (in my case was September, so we can reach the 28days financial rule), provisional booking.
Okay. Thank you guys. You see my partner is a bit hesitant to send the original documents especially her P60 and tenancy agreement because it's the only originally signed copies that she got. I guess i'll just have to convince her to send them since as you've mentioned they will be returned as soon a decision has been made. Thanks again for the help.
I did 100x checking with the docs just to make sure they all match -- originals and photocopies. I observed, some photocopies were returned such as: - bank statements - chat/call logs - photos - itineraries, receipts, bookings - copy of his passport and stamps - engagement ring photo, receipt
