Hello I hope everyone is alright.

I'm new to the forum so I hope to meet nice people on here. I came here to share, seek advice, and also learn other peoples' experience in acquiring a UK Visa, I know how daunting it can be so it would be good to have someone to talk about the whole process.

Just a bit of a background, I have a British (born and bred) boyfriend in the UK and we are in a same sex relationship so I hope people here will be fine with that. We've been together for over 2 years and we've both visited each other. He visited me here in the Ph twice and I've visited him twice in the UK. Not an easy thing when you love someone from across the world with different culture and race but as they say, you will do everything in the name of love.

Anyway so that's it, now, we're on the process of applying for a Fiance Visa so I hope I could get more info from here and hear other peoples experience.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

    PS.
Thanks to the admin for unblocking my IP address, finally I was able to log in after months of trying. ;)

Welcome to the forum young man, all the information you require for a successful visa application is within this forum, you just have to dig around a little and ask specific questions if you need pointing in the right direction.

There have been quite a few people who are same sex applicants using the forum so you have nothing to worry about there :)

    Good luck with your application.

Thanks mate, it's reassuring to hear that there are other people here on the same boat as me.

I'll try and start looking around what this forum has to offer.

    Thanks again.

Thank you Joi1991, I will lodge my application hopefully within this month so I might not get a result until early next year. But my intended date of travel to the UK is mid January. :) If ever, fingers crossed, it's approved. ;)

I got mine in 42 calendar days. You might not get yours that quick due to Christmas Holidays. Anyway, You got time so I am sure you will submit sufficient documents. Good luck. :)

Thank you so much @Stupot10. For sure I'll keep everyone posted about my application. I don't want to keep it for myself. My friends and family doesn't know about this yet, but I wil definitely share it here to ease my nerves.

Thanks for this, was able to read it. Happy to read some story of success.

We actually have a solicitor from London to help us with our application because of my bad immigration history so we opted to seek for help. Although now we're regretting on hiring them since they just delayed our application. Our target was to apply on the 9th of November but they we're not ready. We moved to the 16th but we don't think we can do that either our solicitor is not ready. We're really stress right now when in fact we got a solicitor to avoid stress but then this is happening. Not sure now when I could apply but hopefully within this month.
