Farron is on a different planet with our own Andrew, they see things much differently from the rest of us.

Well actually the Lib Dems almost doubled their share of the vote; but they came third behind Ukip. It is the Labour vote that collapsed and that's all down to Corbyn and the Labour metro elites. Even so, Farron's reported claim that the Lib Dems are the only opposition to the Brexiting Tories is a rather gross distortion of the facts.

Fallon always appears to be over optimistic to say the least.

The Labour vote has certainly fallen away over the last two By Elections, I think their stance on immigration (especially Abbott) during the referendum and having JC as leader is beginning to show.

Has Labour ever been that far behind before, I'd have thought not?

I think it's going to be a long road back for labour can't see them doing it with Corbyn as leader.

I think even Paddy Ashdown would be safe in saying that "he will eat his hat" if Labour win an election with JC at the helm :)

It just amazes me that JC is the leader it really does.

Only one party increased its share of the vote:

    The Liberal Democratic Party.

I'm sure you're not trying to read too much into the result Andrew.

Let's put things into perspective: yes, the Lib Dems did increase their share of the vote over their result at the 2015 General Election. But their share was below that for 2005 and 2010 when they got around 18%. More pertinent however, is the inescapable fact that the Lib Dems only attracted a mere fraction of the 40% of voters who earlier voted to remain in the EU.

The Tories held the seat with more than 50% of the vote, their best performance in government since the Falklands War.

I'm sure your opinion of Nigel Farage matches Will Self's.
On this week's Question Time Will Self called Nigel Farage (and Donald Trump) a "grubby little opportunist" just before he sneeringly insulted 85,000 MacDonald's employees.

I was just reading one of the articles at the bottom of the page you posted "120,000 leave voters died since June election." I had to laugh when I read it, fantastic journalism for sure. Anyone reading this just take a look at the article as it will put a smile on your face especially if you voted leave in the referendum.

Do you really read that kind of rubbish Andrew, if you do I hope it is for amusement purposes only?
