Finally my visa is approved! I just want to thank you guys for all of your help, for assisting me in my application, for answering my queries (even the dumb ones. hahaha), for cheering me up when i was already lost and frustrated preparing my documents, for everything. This forum has become not just a support group but also a family for me. Thank you so much.

To give back for all the help that I received from you guys, I want to share the process/documents that I've been through. I hope this will help the new applicants especially those who are in a same-sex relationship like me.

    Some notes:

    1. My partner and I are in a same sex relationship. We initially applied for a proposed civil partnership visa but upon learning that same-sex marriage is now legal and recognized in the UK, we immediately cancelled our application and applied for a settlement-settlement-marriage aka fiance visa. We received our refund for our first application a month after.

    2. My partner is sharing a flat with a friend in London. I asked her to send a property inspection report to prove that we're not going to overcrowd in their place. However, what she sent me was a GAS inspection report, I thought it was the same thing (because of the word "inspection", hahaha) so I just submitted it. It was only after a few weeks that we realized we made a mistake but it's too late already. hahahaha. But I still got the visa so it turned out okay. hahaha. And i've also read somewhere that the property inspection report is not really required.

    3. We just created our own house layout using the app Home Design.

    4. Our photos are not captioned nor time-stamped.

    5. Our chat logs are in Tagalog since my partner and I are both Filipinos. I didn't translate it since it may sound awkward and a bit fishy.

That's it! Thank you again guys! Hope to see you in the UK! :)

Thank you so much guys. Really happy right now. Im super excited be with my partner for good. :)

@bigmac, thank you for the champagne. :D Regarding the property inspection report, we also thought that it's required especially to those who are sharing flats with other people. But when we asked some of my partner's friends who also brought their wives/husbands from the Philippines they said that they didn't also pass an inspection report but they still got approved. So I guess it's not really needed. ;)

it has caused some a lot of unnecessary stress and extra expense.
