hi everyone, I am new here and badly need help.
My husband and i got married NOV of 2016 and i am now working on my SPOUSE visa.
My husband is still living with his parents because we plan to look for a house together (once i am in the UK) it is also a way of saving more money for the house. Can anyone advise if the visa decision will be affected given the above circumstances?
    thanks in advance

No he will be fine. I know a lot of successful applicants for spouse visa where their partners still live with their parents, and that's no problem.

What is important is that your in-laws' place have enough rooms in it. Like im not sure if a 1 bedroom house would suffice (if i remember it correctly, i read that they only allow the couple and a child in a 1 bedroom apartment).

But there is no rule prohibiting you to stay with them.

I'm in a kind of a similar situation and i came to the decision to move out and find a rented property because i have a parent whom had a stroke and now resides in the living room which i think might reflect negatively towards the visa.. You will need land deeds if his parents own the property and council tax bill, utility bills ( he could put the water rates or gas, electricity in his name , which i considered doing) . A letter from the parents allowing you to stay within the property, a house inspection report detailing floor space, conditions of property, number of rooms and occupants. you are required to have one room to sleep in , one room as living space such as a living room, kitchen and bathroom..if its a rented property then you need a tenency agreement and permission from the landlord to stay and thats the same if its a council house..

Also for me the problem was that i didnt have any paper trail as i just gave cash to my parents to pay for my rent..if I move out then i will able to acquire the documentation..council tax bill in my own name, utility bill in my own name, tenency agreements and permission from landlord for her to stay.

on the positive side i have also read successful visa stories of people living with parents, so it can be done

I live with my mother, agent advised she do an affidavit to state she was aware of fiancee coming to live with her, then all the evidence to support she owns the house and letters in my name at that address.

Try to check out 12.1 and 12.2 of this document: https://www.gov.uk/government/publi...aa--2#maa6-accommodation-general-requirements

It says how many people are allowed in a house with X number of rooms etc.

problem with moving out is we have to wait for months so we can submit more utility bills right? we cant consider it as option since we need to get the visa asap. the house has enough rooms but we only have the floor plan when they renovated just hoping they can consider #fingerscrossed
