We're planning a civil partnership in the british embassy of manila and then try for a spouse visa.

However.. im unsure if a civil partnership will be recognised legally for the visa? Since civil partnerships arnt legally recognised in the Philippines.. and the Philippines aren't in the list of recognised countries under Schedule 20.

Using the government website you can select philippines same sex marriage and it accepts it fine? https://www.gov.uk/marriage-abroad

    Gosh..

Any advice or help would be appreciated!

Well you can actually get married at the British Embassy in Manila and apply for a spouse visa. This is what @OrB has done. They got married at the British Embassy and then applied for spouse visa and got it successfully.

I'm not sure civil partnerships will be a thing for long in the UK

Like I said on my previous posts. Getting married at the uk embassy is actually easier, faster and cheaper.

You don't need to wait for nso marriage certificate. You get the marriage certificate right after the ceremony. And this is definitely a valid document to submit for the spouse visa application.

I don't think so. When we posted the notice of registration, I saw a few names of non same sex couple.
