Hi to everyone on this fab site! An update on my progress.....I have an appointment at UK Embassy in Manila on 9th May 2017. My future wife has been making enquires for Marriage Application, she was told that we both need 'certified copies' of relevant documents, she has had hers already done, does anyone know if I need to have my documents certified in UK
Hi Maley, just an update. My fiancée managed to obtain the transcripts, in the process of sending copies to be assessed. The next hurdle is applying for marriage license, my fiancée was told that she would have to supply 5 copies of our documents, all certified, how do I get my copies certified?...I have an appointment at UK Embassy in Manila in 2 weeks
To be honest, i have not used any school records in my application. Certification might only require the school stamping it and having it dry sealed. If you want to be sure, i suggest you get in touch with NARIC. They are very responsive with your queries.
Thank you Maley, yes, my fiancée has had all the documents proof checked and sealed. Red Ribbon..lol. Can I ask you about the experience of applying for Marriage License?
Hi @Talbot, im afraid i dont have any personal experience in dealing with marriage license. I got married in the UK so the process will be different. Marriage license requirement is dependent on the city or town you want to get married in. The requirement can be as straight forward as submitting a cenomar, submitting the dox, paying the fee and attending a seminar. Or it can be as unusual, as some members of the forum have mentioned, requires you to plant a tree. your fiancee should ask the local registry office (some have it posted on the town or city website). Of course if you planning church wedding, there will be additional requirements (again dependent on the local church).
