This is where we live and I'd love to have new friends nearby! :)

I'm Currently introvert because of the weather and also having a toddler to look after.

How old is your son. Maybe join a toddler group and get chatting to like-minded mums?

I agree with HaloHalo, you will have to make the effort to meet people in the same boat as you and join a toddler group or similar, kids are always a good conversation starter.

I hope you can find new friends soon, I don't like to think of a Filipina stuck at home.

Nothing better than a good old chin wag to brighten the day up.

Heya, my mother-in-law suggested that but I am really "shy" to come and meet group of people for many reasons. Will get there though... :)

Thanks, I won't be stuck at home for life. That's not me. Lol

Started befriending the neighbor as they also have a toddler but I don't know how to get along with British family. Unlike back home, we bring food to a new neighbor and chit chat then we call ourselves at ease with each other. Doors are always closed in this building and I am afraid of the language or rather accent barrier. I am taking baby steps into this..

Asawa was quite shy when she came here. There are still times where she prefers me to arrange things or call someone on her behalf but regards integrating, she works, so it's a case of having to interact.

Early days yet but no worries, it'll come.

I can relate to that. One day soon I'd get used to the surroundings and the peeps here. Especially when I go back to employment.

is there a local kiddies playpark you can take your child (if old enough)? Dont worry about the language barrier most will help and be friendly those that are not are not worth bothering with.
Do some cooking and let the lovely smells waft through to the neighbours they might ask what the lovely smells are.
Walk to the shops even just to window shop if possible.

    Hope it helps
