    Hi,

I am currently completing the Online VAF4A form for a settlement visa. Upon trying to select the 'Visa Appointment Type', my options include:
    • Standard Visa Appointment
    • Premium Lounge
    • Primetime
    • PBS Tier 4 Student
    • Super Priority Visa

I was considering using the priority visa service (PV) that I have read about here , but it does not appear to be available for selection.

Am I missing something or just misunderstanding my options?

    Thanks.

interesting--i wonder if priority service has been suspended in view of the non-performance.

That is for the 'Appointment Type' the Priority Visa fee will not be selected there I think. It's not worth it going for the PV though with how things are going at the moment.

I paid for ours on Saturday and standard was the only option....I didn't have the option for the super duper speedy 90 day one

Was the Priority visa ever been included in the appointment options in the online application? Or has it always been through VFS that you can avail of this service? Just wondering.

Visa Processing Times and Related Issues

I was granted LTR for a period of 30 months, 19 April 2017. My husband and I then applied for a visa for my daughter, 21 June 2017 (currently in the Philippines) to join us in the UK. We also paid extra for the Priority Service and like others on this forum, have experienced similar problems with poor service and delayed processing. Using the telephone and email services has not proved to be of any use. I travelled to the Philippines in May to first secure a passport for my daughter. At that time, given the publicised processing times for visas, it seemed realistic to expect my daughter’s visa to be processed allowing her to travel to the UK and settle in time for the start of the school term in September. At the point where I had been in the Philippines for 62 days, I realised that I could possibly be in breach of the ’90 day rule’ as a condition of my visa, if the delay in processing my daughter’s visa continued. Therefore, I reluctantly returned home to the UK after 62 days – and the wait continues! The Priority Service now seems to be 60 days!

Please could you provide some clarification on 3 issues that have arisen as a direct result of the delay in processing my daughter’s visa?

1 – Can I travel into, and out of, the Philippines with fewer than 6 months remaining on my passport? I renewed my passport at the Embassy in London, 25 July, but was told that the application may take 3 months to process. There seems to be conflicting advice on the 6 month passport validity rule, but the Bureau of Immigration

    http://www.immigration.gov.ph/faqs/travel-req point 5

seems to suggest that the 6 month rule does not apply if I have already renewed my passport - even though I do not yet have my new passport. This contradicts what the Embassy staff told us. I still have my current passport and it has been stamped ‘passport renewed on’

2 – Is the 90 day rule a cumulative amount? In other words, do I now have only 28 days left?

3 - Am I correct in assuming that my prolonged absence would be viewed as legitimate (delay in visa processing times) and would not have a detrimental effect on my future visa application?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm confused, is this saying without a CENOMAR its useless paying for this servive?

The eligibility requirements for the Priority Visa (PV) service is extended to Settlement visa categories, and all non-settlement visa categories, including all visitors and Tier 4 students.

Customers using the PV service when applying for a settlement visa are asked to ensure that they provide the following documents at the time of submission, failure to do so will mean that your application will not be put at the front of the queue and the decision expedited.

    Spouse/civil partner and marriage

    • CENOMAR – for applicant and also for sponsor (if Filipino)
    • Death certificate – if previous husband/wife is deceased

Once your married and she orders a CENOMAR it will give the details of your marriage, basicly another document to show the marriage, the document becomes an 'advisory of marriage' form. We had to get one for my son's British passport. But when you order it it's still called CENOMAR. I'm guessing this is what they want to see

So where exactly do you pay for priority? Is it the VFS website or the Visa4UK? I'm about to apply the application for the wife and step-daughter, and initially chose standard in the VFS. After paying the health surcharge, I went back to the Visa4UK site and when chosing to pay, the only option given to me was standard? I was hoping for priority

I believe its on the VFS Website, then your wife needs to take the priority receipt with her to biometric appointment and include this receipt in your evidence bundle thats sent to Sheffield
