Hi, i'm just starting to apply for my wife of 11 years and two kids (from her previous relationship, not UK by decent) to apply for a settlement visa to live in the UK. My question is:

My wife will apply for a spouse settlement visa but what do i apply for the kids since they are coming with my wife? Are they covered in her application or do i have to apply separately for "child of settled person" visa for each one?

Thanks for the help, i'm really confused on this one...

It will have to be a separate appliation.

So the kids will be "child of settled person" and the wife "spouse"?

So on the application am i the sponsor for the kids as well as my wife or is she the sponsor since they inherit her status?

16 and 17, why does the age matter at all so long as they are under 18?

it will be interesting to see what you get charged for the IHS for the kids. weve just done an app for my wifes 11 year old--and ..no charge for IHS !--and 2 others on this site got the same just recently. dont know why.

Apparently big mac there is a glitch in their system that's not been allowing payment to be taken for the kids but you'll be sent a link when they realise it's not been paid...The same has happened with ours but I've not been contacted yet and we're on day 60 today surprise surprise...
