As a comparison in 2006 the 4500 was probably about 51 quid maybe less, compared to 6000 in 2015 which was closer to 90 something :)

    Yeah but a politician ;) :D

Kissing babies and buying a Jollibee are all part of the job description, man of the people and all that ;)

Saying that he's the best they have had in a long time, good on him!

Jollibee is part of an enormous and highly successful food empire which includes Chowking, Burger King, Mang Inasal, Greenwich Pizza and Red Ribbon Bakeshop with a combined annual turnover of over a billion Pounds. Less well-known is the fact that it is also Cebu Pacific's inflight caterer and has outlets in Doha, Kuwait and now Dubai - all recently-added destinations for the low-cost airline. Like all Filipino food, all its offerings have a high sugar content which imbue them with less appeal to our western palates.

there is not one, but two countries in the world where Mcdonalds takes a hiding from a local competitor.

the Philippines. where Jollibee licks Mcdonalds on market share, is one of them.

The other one, is Greece, where Mcdonalds get daily egg on their face, and licked on sales, from a chain restaurant known as Goody's Burger House.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goody's_Burger_House_(restaurant)

Goody's does Mcdonald's in in Greece on burgers too, unlike Jollibee in the Philippines, who wasted Mcdonalds not by serving them burgers of a type that customers prefer, like Goody's do in Greece, but by shifting the goalposts and making Mcdonalds play catch up and copying Jollibee by serving primarily chicken and rice and spaghetti, and not burgers and fries at all, in which Tony Tan and Jollibee realised that Filipino consumers have very little interest.

    Oh, the irony.

One ex-banned member (now signed-up again under a new alias) replying to an ex-banned member who has been kicked off the forum at least 10 times before. The mind boggles. All we need now is for the said 10-timer banned member to return and reply to this post and the circle is complete.

I'm intrigued... what do you have to do to get kicked off the forum - did they post obscene images of themselves or what?
