Yes always a worry , especially with daughters . I've always felt quite safe in Thailand .
Just remind her to take the obvious precautions from putting herself into any potentially dangerous situations . Is she travelling alone ?

I don't have daughters (can do without the worries anyway ).... but I think my Mrs is doing her best to meet me halfway with our 2 year-old boy. :D

Just a rare treat methinks... as that appears to be at our next door neighbour's house. He usually eats more healthy food. ;)

I try to steer him clear of that terrible high fat, high salt, high sugar rubbish that so many people have their little ones chewing on there.

You should have been there in 1970, immediately after Biafra, now that was a scary place to be.........

I agree with this and is something that I have to contend with, with my 5 year old here in the U.K., if you see what I mean.

when foreigners do get murdered in Thailand, shooting is not as common as it is in the Philippines where it is by far the likeliest method to be chosen. In Thailand, shooting, while not unknown, is quite rare. Stabbing appears to be the most popular, followed by being bludgeoned to death.
