I also bought an Alesis synthesiser for my son, to go with a couple of his keyboards, so he and I can do a bit of 'creating'... as per the one in this vid:
Klaus Dinger and Michael Rother formed Neu! when they parted company with Kraftwerk - the term "Krautrock" was starting to gain a lot of steam in the early 70's. I much preferred Neu! than Kraftwerk (and still do). The motorik drumming of Dinger and melodic guitar of Rother was a revelation. Dinger passed away but Michael Rother has been playing in the UK recently:
It seems quite difficult to entertain the crowd with keyboards and/or laptop PC's. Jon Hopkins injects a fair amount of excitement on his kit - I say "kit" because I haven't the foggiest what he uses.
Theyve got little 7” tablets now . Watch their favourite shows on them but thankfully not too much yet. They are interacting with each other recently and make up stories as theyre playing with their toys.
