- printed email from agent (or landlord if applicable) confirming that I am allowed to live in our house

- my hubby's cert of employment

- 6 months bank statements (should cover 6 months of salary period)

- marriage cert orig
- pics of us together with my stepson
- Report of Marriage (from Phil Embassy UK) not really a requirement but I just included it

6. Proof of correspondence
- council tax bill in joint names
- my hubby's bank letters (2pcs)
- my hubby's hmrc letter
- water bill (hubby)
- Notice of Marriage appointment letter from Newcastle City Council (hubby)
- barclay letter as extension of my hubby's credit card (mine)
- amazon printed invoices with my address (2pcs-mine)
- findmeagift email confirmation with my address (2 pcs - mine)
- envelope from Registry Office addressed to me and my hubby (used by them to send our Marriage cert copies)
-envelope from Phil Embassy London addressed to me (used by them to send my Report of Marriage)

- sms logs of my hubby and his ex regarding my stepson (parental responsibility)

Have the person's full name on the back of each photo. We used the photobooth here in the UK to have the standard passport photo.

Have you received all your documents back? I noticed that they kept all our letters (cover letter, employment and landlord’s).

Why do you need to go to Phil Emb?

Yeah they send all docs back except for passport pics. They got one from me and my hubby. They returned the other one. They got my A4 plastic case though. Think they liked it

Thanks @bigmac I sent the originals because they require originals. Just wondering why HO kept them I thought they would make copies for themselves. Good job I’ve kept a scanned copy for myself. They did send back most of the documents though, just noticed a few bits were missing.

Need to report my marriage and renew my passport later on. Maybe I will be lucky Phil embassy will let me do both on the same day

No brp yet, but it should be on its way. It wasn’t a very long wait in the end

you could write and ask for them back, after all---ukvi cant very well say they never received them...can they ?......lol.

Can't do both. I tried last January to do both but they just accepted my Report of Marriage. You have to submit your RoM first then wait for few months coz they are sending docs to DFA quarterly only. You have to check with DFA if they receive it. They will give you details you need so you can request a PSA authenticated marriage cert. You need that to change your surname in your passport.
