That was for her sons application. Weighed about half a kilo

So our application could have had about 100 pages ! But i doubt if it was half that.

Maybe depends on the weight. Mine was 1.2kg. £11 one way.

Got to agree with Markham on this!

I managed to fit everything - photos, property and financial docs- in a single slightly over A4 sized envelope. Don't remember the cost, but I think it was less than £10 for standard recorded delivery.

I think there could be a legitimate chance that whoever opened your package has been overwhelmed by everything inside it.

General advice seems to be send copies - as well as originals - of everything (in A4 size (extra weight!)) x2 sets of evidence... it soon mounts up!

I've sent 2 packets of documents (1st with original documents and 2nd with all photocopies in it )

From the looks of the returned documents - I think they just scanned the 1st packet with original documents and didn't bother to touch or look at the 2nd one...

Extracts from 7 years of online communication (Proof of relationship!), plus copies... as proof of relationship is the most subjective part of the whole application process, more is better!

That would mean 4 separate packages -

    Applicant Originals
    Applicant Copies
    Sponsor Originals
    Sponsor Copies -

Far too big a risk of evidence being lost, or not considered together!

I put all the documents together in 1 packet (I've put them together in an envelope folder) . The 2nd packet are just photocopies of the 1st one. so in the package I sent to them were 2 envelope folders

Got all of them back - nothing lost or misplaced! :)

I added an envelope with specific copies of documents that I want back. Just realised I left my P60 in the scanner and only sent the copy. Hopefully my original salary slips, letter from employer including salary and bank statements should be enough

So Mica had her biometrics today. About 15 people ( mainly Indian ) waiting to be seen. they only do VFS two days a month. Total IT collapse. Kept asking her for the receipt. Finally sorted but I am sort of worrying that the package gets there before her data. They were quoting up to ten weeks ( average processing time ) which I guess includes priority applications as well.

Hmm, premium/priority shouldn't be 10 weeks :erm: that's same as standard app already. When I applied, priority is 15 days only.

If it will take 10 weeks, what will she do with her cayman visa?

I wasn't clear. I meant that the average quoted is probably dilute by the priority two weeks. Without it, the average might be nearer 15 weeks

Compared to the overall costs it's 'chicken-feed' - and, true to their word, it got there next-day... more than can be said for the 'claims' of others! :D

Happens A LOT with that page/site - or you get 'error 503 - not available'...
