Biometrics and countdown from application date

Hi, everyone. I am applying for a Fiancee visa. I am about to press the Pay button but two queries.

First, am I right that the applicant need only take passport to the biometrics? In other words, the CENOMA, IELTS Life Skills cert. and so forth can be sent to me in the UK to prepare the bundle for Sheffield.

Second, what constitutes the submission of application is not agreed on here: it it when one submits the online form or when one pays? This has a strong bearing on deadlines for documentation reaching Sheffield.

One issue is that ongoing changes can mean a 2016 or 2017 posting is already obselete!

I am happy to share experiences once matters are further underway.

Yes on the first point, passport, appointment letter, VAF4A printed and signed plus appendix 2

Not sure what you mean on the second point. The Sheffield package has to be sent no later than I think 20 (?) days after the biometircs are taken. Regarding things like financials, they must include the latest documents so that means latest bank statements and pay slips and should not be more than 28 days (?) old.

the applicant prints off a copy of the online form vaf4--signs it and takes it together with its biometric page and passport(s) to her appointment at VFS.. everything else goes to sheffield

the submission of application is when you submit the online form--AND PAY. its all at the same time. you cant do one without the other.

I was told to do both but it makes sense that it went to Sheffield more than the biometrics.

i also sent a copy of the printed vaf4 with the sheffield bundle.
