    Hi,

    Attending CFO seminar tomorrow.
On our confirmation form, it states a requirement of:
Duly completed guidance and counseling form to be secured at the CFO

Does this mean they provide the form to complete upon arrival (if so, why list it as a "requirement"?), or does it mean something like this: https://www.cfo.gov.ph/images/forms/downloadable_forms/registrationform.pdf

Can anyone advise what it is they're actually asking for?

    Thank you

Possibly they mean the form that is completed before the CFO sticker is issued? Some silly and irrelevant questions on that form such as what is my mother's maiden name. However, she was able to message me whilst completing the form so it wasn't completed under normal examination conditions. They also demanded proof that I am single (eventually delivered via a sworn affidavit from the British Embassy) because, hey, the UK government always issues visas for bigamist marriages.

Only thing to be aware of is that the CFO goons may tick your partner off as having completed the CFO, but not issue the actual sticker until the day her visa becomes valid. Another nonsensical cog in the Filipino bureaucracy machine. Caused me a whole lot of aggro. Hopefully you are not attending the CFO in Clark where they are the biggest bunch of toss muffins in the entire country.

We had exactly the same question...

After emailing the CFO directly we were informed it is completed on arrival for the seminar - maybe why you are advised to arrive 90 minutes before the seminar starts?
No harm in taking a completed version (& copy!) of the form you found, but be prepared to complete another one if it has been updated!

My fiance attended the seminar a day before our flight here to the UK.

I think that form is to be completed when you arrive in the CFO's office.

They will ask you to fill in the sponsor's personal details as well such as job, what course they had in uni, their landline number, etc.

How can they issue the 'sticker', when your passport is still with VFS until after the decision is made? My fiancee attended the CFO seminar 4 months ago - something less to hold up her travelling to the UK (IF the application is successful) once the decision is made - so just has to return to the CFO office to get the passport stamp...

I did not book the CFO appointment until the visa had been confirmed and passport safely back in my partner's hands which happened late March or early April.

The start date of the visa was something like 14th May. She attended the seminar in April. They marked their records that she had completed this. However, they would not issue the sticker itself until the 14th May!

This is all to do with :

    1. Human trafficking.

    2. Making sure remittances (especially where 'rich' foreigner is involved) are safely sent back to the Phils.

    3. A last chance to save the souls of the good Catholics who will be subjected to all kinds of horrific temptations (as with priests and small boys ?) upon reaching the shores of those horrid decadent non-Catholic or Secular countries.

    4. A final picking of your (obviously overflowing) pocket.

Of course all of this pales into insignificance, when put alongside the British government's daylight robbery of its own citizens.

Okay, thank you for the info people.

We are heading there in an hour or so.

@PorkAdobo , it's the Manila office, so hopefully we have an easier time... :)

I've filled in the form I found on their site - just incase it's the one. I'm pretty sure it's all the same questions we had to complete when we originally applied online, so maybe I just completed the "offline" version of that. No harm in taking it along.

I am going with her and have all my documents for the visa application with me (so we should have everything covered), which includes a notarised original single status declaration, my own CENOMAR, bank statements etc.

I guess I have to wait outside though - or is there a waiting area I can hang out in?

    Thanks.

You will have to wait outside the office as only the application is allowed inside.
Go for a walk or shop around as it will take at least 2-3 hrs

    We have returned :)

The online form wasn't required, so as other posters have said, it refers to the form they give you prior to the actual seminar on the day.

Counsellor wanted proof that I was single, so luckily my fiancee had my CENOMAR and notarised single status declaration, which she was really happy to see. She also went through our entire evidence pack, asking my fiancee about all the locations in the photographs of us together. Overall, my fiancee said the counsellor was nice and friendly, but very thorough. Nevertheless, got the certificate, so that's what counts.

Next week for the TB test, then, fingers crossed, applying for the visa.

    Have a great day,
