My sister has an African Grey , but it doesn't talk much .

I had a blue and gold Macaw for many years , but managed to find it a good home a few years ago . Sadly many end up in parrot rescue centres , which I didn't want .

My bro in law has a miner bird here but it only swears in Visayan..
The interesting thing is that it mimic's the other birds and animals around it.. It speaks fluent native chicken dialect for example.

Yes myna birds are good at mimicking sounds , I've seen several .

When my gf and I went to Thailand last year , there was one in a big cage at a restaurant near the hotel . It always gave her a wolf whistle when she walked past haha .

I never taught my Macaw to swear , but he did talk , laugh and cough .

I used to have a really manky old bird. No, I don't mean by ex-girlfriend, I mean a Lesser Sulphur Crested Cockatoo which was rescued from a vet suffering from Beak and Feather disease.

This basically meant that his feathers fell out and his beak grew too much.

When I first got him he had no feathers whatsoever and was terrified of everyone, but I, rather proudly, instilled some confidence in him and he did manage to grow a sort of half-hearted attempt at feathers in the end.

The real fun part was when I had to, every now and then, trap him and cut the end of his beak. That never went down too well.

I was, I must say rather fond of Birdie Num Num. And, though I say it myself, I believe he was rather fond of me.

My brother in law worked in Nigeria years back and he brought back an African Grey chick. The locals had literally grabbed it out of a tree and sold it to him. He brought it back on the plane, in a cardboard box on his lap. My sister was not best pleased.

Even then I did query if he was questioned about it and did it have to go in the hold but to my amazement he said no.
