    So,

We just had an email advising that our CFO seminar, booked for 22nd August, is being moved to 15th Aug due to Eid falling on 22nd. Not great, as we'll be in Bohol that week; so unsure what we're going to do about that right now.

But, also, this got me checking other holiday dates. My fiancee's TB test is booked for 21st Aug. The medical centre booked the appointment in May and confirmed it again on 23rd July.

Apparently it's Ninoy Aquino Day on 21st August! I have emailed the medical centre to confirm our appointment again, despite the clash with the holiday, but doubt I'll get any reply now until Monday...

Can anyone tell me if this day is observed by everyone in Philippines, or is the medical centre likely to still be open?

    Thank you.

National non working day so I doubt it.

Then that sucks that they've confirmed the appointment twice. They must be waiting until we turn up on the day, for us to find out it's closed and the appointment was bogus.

I don't believe they have their own website, just an unofficial Facebook page where people are, worryingly, advising against using their services! Unfortunately, this is the only clinic which the Home Office approves, so we have no choice.

I remember they have an official email that used to confirm my appointment. They did respond to my queries although it took them a couple of days to do so. They also had a phone number you can call - i would think that is still working.

Their lines are only open 9-5 weekdays unfortunately. Will have to wait until I arrive (tomorrow) to find out what the situation is.

For anyone curious, this is what happened:

CFO, originally booked for 22nd August, moved the appointment to 15th due to Eid landing on 22nd.

IOM moved their appointment from 21st Aug to 22nd Aug as they realized (on 20th!) that 21st was a National Holiday. When I emailed them to confirm 22nd as it was Eid, they said they didn't observe Eid so would be open as usual!

We celebrated the eid holiday with two cases of SMB and 4 cigars.
