Hi I'm Brad Sanders, I'm a British Citizen married to a Philippine Citizen as this is the husband of Lynelle Sanders using. I would like some advices from anyone which would be a big help and favour to us on what Indefinite Leave To Remain or any other settled visas to have being that we're not able to meet the Financial requirement right now as I've heard there's this new Visa (UK Residence Card) that's came out recently on the updates. It explains on the UK Residence Card descriptions, on how EU Citizen's are now able to bring their Spouses over to the UK for 5 years after being granted the UK Residence Card and we've been wondering all along since we'e found out the last couple of days if this will be any use and legitimate for us to go for, although I know the new Visa will be fully open from March 2019 according to the gov.uk. I've also been wondering guys, where or how it's possible for me to change my Martial Status in the UK and what requirements will have to be met on top of that.

    Thank you all.

Unfortunately being a British citizen you have to meet the financial requirement for you to bring your spouse over to to the UK. Only EU citizens can bring their spouses in the UK without meeting the financial requirement and without submitting a heck loads of documents and paying a hefty fee.

As @Brom27 correctly states, as a British citizen living in the UK, you will have to apply for a settlement visa for your Filipino wife if you wish her to join you here - and one of the requirements is that you earn at least £18,600 a year. The Family Permit you refer to is only available to non-British EU nationals who both live and are employed in the UK.

as you dont meet the income requirement--are you aware savings can be also used to offset the shortfall.? its what i did.

also--people in receipt of specific disability related benefits are exempt from the income requirement.
