My Filipino wife has been here in the UK for 4 years (to the day!) originally on a spouse visa now on FLR. We have 1 year to wait for The ILR application but now I have an opportunity to move with work to Sweden. Anyone know where that leaves us regarding the ILR and British citizenship?

You really need to postpone that employment opportunity until after she has successfully applied for ILR as there is a maximum number of days per annum that she can be outside the UK.

I know it was discussed previously about sponsors being present in the UK as proof of a subsisting relationship but can’t recall the consensus on that discussion.

Keep your UK address... and your wife living there.

Work in Sweden and come home for weekends, or as often as you can, until the British government's requirements for you and your Mrs have been satisfied ? My son's mother lives in Sweden, and I know it's not difficult or dear (Ryanair) to virtually commute.
