Mica was stopped by the Cayman border force when flying here because she didnot have a return or onward ticket. It took a phone call to someone more senior for her to be cleared even though she had the Fiancee visa in her passport.

My Mrs came over last year on fiancée visa, no letter, so nothing notorised, was her first time out of the phil.
Was asked 3/4 questions about where she was going, who she was meeting and her plans for the future, checked her passport and cfo then was let through security.
She had documents with her but nothing was required and certainly no grilling. So where you get that from god knows.
Met several here who have come alone on fiancée visas and none have ever had a grilling about leaving the country.

Grilling probably came from me as I had got the impression from else where regarding off loading that can run into problems and then have lots of questions from immigration. Remains a worry of mine although actual experience has been that there are no issues. Reading some more as a result of the thread (google offloading immigration philippines) it is probably more of an issue for people who are going claiming that they are going on holiday or overstayed on previous trip or from their answers make immigration think they are going to a job or at risk of people trafficing. In those scenarios immigration have authority to stop them leaving and will need to be convinced to let them out of the country.

I deliberately went on short trip with my wife to see what process was like and had zero issues. Reading the BOI guidance we should have been in the list of people pulled aside for secondary interview but were not - traveling as tourist, wife first time out of Philippines, travelling with unrelated foreigner, going to Singapore which is I think potential trafficing location and also potential jobs and not leaving as an OFW. There are various stories of people being refused permission to leave and being off loaded and also being questioned at some length by immigration.

Think the issue will be so long as you have your story straight and don't raise any issues you will be fine. Be prepared and aim to have the relevant supporting documents with you and should not be an issue. Supporting documents from visa application should cover any scenario I could think of.

Good to have real examples of what it is like and probably more important what documents immigration wanted to see as that was the original question. I posted the list from the BOI document of what they are supposed to require for settlement visa. Different requirements for other traveller categories - tourist has highest requirements from my reading of document and from offloading examples it is were most people would have been categorised. The BOI guidance has enough in it to identify where people had problems and what marked them out for secondary interview. Also details what they expect to see for the different traveller categories.

Thanks for the mention thingymejig2 . I can only pass on my limited experiences . The other guys , Mattecube , oss and the others have much more experience and expertise , and I would trust them 100% .
Try not to worry too much , it sounds like you have a really strong case .
That was a really touching post , and it shows how much this means to you .
I wish you both the best of luck , and I’m sure it will be fine .
