back in the summer--a visiting relative gave my wife a pack of dried squid.

i recently noticed an off smell in one of the kitchen cupboards. she said it was probably the squid. so last night she fried it. and ate it with rice and tomatoes.

today ive had to open all the windows and doors. we have visitors coming later. they might think we need an exorcism.

she has agreed not to cook it again. the stink was unbelievable.

It can be an awful stink. My wife cooks anything stinky in the garden.

It's the only fish I could not eat on my visits to the Philippines.

    That's bad ?

I was passed a bowl of deep fried bite-sized chunks of our neighbour's dog, at their house blessing yesterday.

Paw you Graham that’s pretty woof going. Don’t get hot under the collar though they were just being pawlite. Their bark is worst than their bite :)

Could have done with some 'hair of the dog this morning though'.

    Good party.

    Nice house too...

My partner almost throw up when he smelled the dried fish that I've fried the other day! Haha! Part of being married/in a relationship with a Filipina! Include fish sauce and shrimp paste:p

Sorry but don't agree. Being in a relationship with any nationality does not mean having to tolerate something which is totally abhorrent to you. Yes I appreciate that my wife loves frying dried fish, but out of respect to our relationship, she does it on the grill in the garden.

Right, you don’t have to agree. It was a joke, not applicable to all ofcourse.
