Will Moyes and Allerdyce ever get a top job again or will they go like Curbishley?

I think Moyes will get the opportunity to take on a Championship side and maybe get them promoted. That would go some way to rehabilitate his reputation. A bit like McClaren who's doing alright at QPR following a rough start.

Fat Sam will always be in consideration for a relegation struggler. I think Huddersfield have resigned themselves to relegation this season so have appointed a guy they think can improve them next season. Maybe Leicester would take a look if they start sliding? I think a lot of it would depend on whether Sam would settle for this type of recurring gig, or wait for a genuine big job to come along - which it won't.

Big Sam's speciality is to keep clubs from being relegated, which he has. He did a great job at Bolton getting them into Europe and keeping then in the prem for 10 years. Happy days.

Big Sam and the chairman Phil Garside did great at Bolton there is no denying from Boundry Park to the (what is now called ) The Macron Stadium to the treadmill of European football a great time for The Trotters.

Not at the rate he’s going.
Some very poor performances in the league as well as latest cup game. Although got farther than we did. :frust:

personally I never understood the sense in appointing sarri to manage Chelsea.
Apart from a promotion or two, never lifted any throphies of any sort, not much of a tactician neither.

He is definitively on the way out, just the size of his severance stands between him and the door...

There's a fascination with managers who perform well in 2/3 team leagues.

Juve would have walked Serie A with Fat Sam in charge. Don't know how many points Conte saved for them. Sarri just solidified Napoli as 2nd/3rd (as did Rafa before him) with Roma whilst the Milanese imploded.

All Guardiola has done is win with Barca, Bayern and City. Can't really find fault with the guy, but the achievements of Eddie Howe, Sean Dyche and Fat Sam (at Bolton) are arguably greater.

Solskjaer, who is hardly an unknown, is showing that more faith should be given to less glamorous names. Everyone had Zidane pencilled in for that job once Solskjaer had taken MUFC to 6th place.

Chelsea could do much worse than giving Eddie Howe a try at a big club.

Arguably the 2 greatest managers in the premiership history so far have been relative unknowns or from lower spec jobs Fergie and Wenger, Ole has a good number 2 in Phelan and the 2 young coaches will benefit! United to finish 4th win the Champions League and FA cup, thrash Liverpool and City on the way (I can dream)
