I saw the thread title and thought about Stu immediately, he's not posted for nearly 2 years and was last seen reading the forum last November. He would have been the forum expert on this, I do remember him saying it was not cheap.
Cheap cheap that's a bird but to be honest I can see carriers trying to make lots of dosh out of it! A bit like the tail wagging the dog!
Well funnily enough in that thread I repeat myself by saying subseastu will know about this! Even the abnormality of dog transportation from/to Pinas is covered in the forum. A wealth of knowledge from both old and new subscribers. I wonder if he has moved to pastures new or whether he struggled through the oil inustry turmoil.
Just be aware that the costs are expensive. it cost more to ship our 2 dogs here than it did to move all the house contents. but I couldn't leave them behind.
We have the dogs food sent by balikbyan box. I have a daughter in the UK. My wife has now aquired 2 more GSD puppies, and I use the loosely as they are Philippine GSD The dog food here is crap meant for the aso, so it’s very small biscuits, the big dogs don’t like it much. But they do like the fresh meat and fish . They don’t do rice, that ends up scattered all over the place and not eaten. The puppies are very forward compared to the Uk puppies, ears are up and much more aggressive, fortunately not with us.
Adobo and caldereta (Ralf and Minni) are settled in nicely, they were delivered at 3am, pleased to be out of their crates. Sleep in the bedroom with the air con, and cause no problem, if they sleep on the veranda we get gratuitous barking at any thing. At least in the bedroom if they bark there’s something to look into.
I haven't tried it buy you can buy most brands of dog food here on Lazada. Our Siberian Husky will not eat any type of processed food, she only eats raw meat, chicken, beef, pork, duck. Like yours, she won't touch rice either.
