I spoke to my son earlier today,he reminded me of the time her mother gave him 500 peso and a pizza
Just seen slum areas in manila ankle deep in rubbish, the PI are threatening to take the rubbish to Canadian waters and dump it into the ocean.

Malaysia is now responding with the same message to the UK and others "we don't want your illegal garbage, its on its way back to you"

Maybe they should just instruct their own companies who import the stuff, accordingly....instead of blaming foreign governments, as has Pres Du30.

Apparently what's happening is they get a lot of the right stuff that's been agreed to send but they are also getting a lot of stuff that isn't recyclable. Companies have sent UK garbage because that's what they have received from the UK community and it's a cheap way to deal with the problem

Its only "cheap" because of so many containers that would travel empty a secondary question is what we imported

Indonesia are having the same problem with plastic coming from here, it’s not all recyclable and a lot of waste in amongst it all. So they have also stated they will be sending it back.

so logically if we stop importing Palm Oil and take responcibility for cutting out our unrecyclables win win for the Planet

    All about attitude.
A very basic example we were on Black Rock Sands on Saturday miles of golden sand and as we drove along there lying on the ground a used disposable nappy with other bits of trash.
Tide comes in nappy in sea years to rot.
If parents are doing this what hope for the kids

Indonesia creates its own problem,as does the Philippines.Approx 60% of the waste in the worlds oceans comes from five countries, indo and the PI are in those 5.

That's as maybe, however developed countries like the UK cannot compound the issue by trying to offload the wrong product.
Smacks of arrogance towards the developing countries
