Hi all, is a CFO sticker required for a child?

We have received my step-daughter's settlement visa but we're not sure whether the sticker is required.

She's over 12 but under 18 and coming to UK to join her mother for family reasons.

It would be tragic if she got turned back at the airport on some technicality.

    Hi guys,
I'm getting confused with PDOS and GCP, so I applied for a spouse visa for my wife and daughter. They got their visa but I just found out about this CFO thing. I'm filipino with a philippine passport so which shall my wife pick?

    Hi Everyone

My husband received his spouse visa. As we are both Filipino citizen, what he should take? CFO, GCP or PDOS? Many thanks in advance! I'm very confused.

Sorry if this is already answered - but thread is very long. We are relocating to UK early July with a granted Settlement Visa (Granted April 12 valid from June 27 - yes they can be got to issue long dates). We have lived in Macau for nearly 10 years. Practically the CFO sticker will not be needed for departure from Hong Kong or entry in to The UK. But the question - will it cause issues when we next visit the Philippines? Anybody else with a similar situation.

Nope she has been OFW for about 20 years - these things never existed. She still has valid OEC.

It won't cause any issue when u arrive here in the Phlippines. But better to book an appointment to attend the seminar a month before your visit here, as it might raise an issue when she departs from here. She will also need the certificate to be able to change her last name into yours in her passport.

Thanks we came to the conclusion that would probably be the best strategy. We aren't actually married so the passport issue isn't a concern.

i hope you dont mind me asking--is the reason youre not married because she was previously married in the philippines ?
i presume settlement visa was on the basis of a long term relationship of 2 years +

No probs. Simple truth is that we have never got round to getting married. LOL. She is widowed well before we met in 2010. I'm legally single too. For Spouse Visa purposes it would be less risky starting as Fiance or married. But she has work on arrival so delay processing work entitlement in the UK would be a pain. I would advise others to go the Fiance route if just partners ... but I have extensive travel history since 2012 with Lyn as my partner attending UK government events. So refusal by UKVI as "partners" seemed unlikely even for that shambles.

Hi all, just thought people should know, cfo says walk in first come first serve... This however is not true for Cebu! An appointment has to be made! Please don't make the same mistake if your not local to Cebu.

It was First come, first served basis 5 years ago. They must have changed it now.

Think Cebu is catching up now. I could still remember how early we have to turn up on the site just to get a slot. I think it would make a lot of difference having an appointment system.

Hello everyone. A happy New Year to all of you!

I do have a question, What if me and my partner had same sex marriage in the British Embassy and one of the requirements by CFO if married is to have it duly authenticated by the Philippine Consulate(considering my marriage is foreign to Philippines). And because same sex marriage is not recognized by the Philippine Law, how should i go around by doing this?

    A. Would it be authenticated by the Philippine Consulate/DFA?

    or

    B. Would the CFO people accept my marriage certificate that is from the British Embassy as is?

Can someone shed a light on this please, insights from those especially who had gone thru the same situation will be much appreciated! TIA!
