In advance... The time of the year has arrived for me to disappear for a couple of weeks due to work in London. So I won't be able to be around as much as I like, and will pop up some evenings from some internet cafe or other, just to keep abreast of the situation. I won't log in, as I am not keen on using public pc's for obvious reasons, and it isn't worth fetching the laptop as the hotel wi-fi is obnioxiously expensive. It seems that the concept of free hotel wi-fi hasn't arrived in London.... For now the Ideal Home Exibition beckons, and the taxi to take me to the Railway Station is nearly here... Been looking forward to this trip since last year.... Besides......... I can actually grab a few nights decent sleep there....:vhappy:
Dom.... I'm taking the missus there next week, either Mon or Tues. I guess you're up on the secomd floor ? I'll see if I can find you.
you could always take your laptop and pop in to a mcdonalds and take advantage of there free wifi connection
In the end, I decided to take the laptop anyway, as I had the perfect chance to do a little work and it was a lucky decision indeed.!!!!! On checking in, I noticed that the receptionist dealing with me was Pinay, so to make a bit of an impression I did ask in Bisaya where she came from in Pinas, to say that she was a bit shocked to be addressed in her own language by a Kano in London, must have been too much for her... She called another couple of pinays out, and we had a bit of a chinwag.... Then all of sudden she noticed my laptop, and she gave me the Free wi-fi code................ So, a quick salamat, and off I went to my room....

That's nice Dom I know you speak a good bit even if you do call it Klingon sometimes It's one of the main reasons I want to get much better at Tagalog grammar, I know the words but I find them hard to put together not helped by having an occasional stammer in my own language Good result down there anyway P.S. I appreciate that you took a chance on assuming Bisaya, I know next to nothing about Bisaya but my point was I appreciate the effort and I am very sure they did too
