Pioneer of ska and rocksteady died on 8th September. Sad day for music. He was a massive influence on the likes of Madness and The Specials. Indeed, one of Buster's early band members even went on to play for the Specials, the late Rico Rodriguez https://www.theguardian.com/music/2016/sep/08/prince-buster-obituary-ska-musica-jamiaca
Hope he enjoyed himself; it was later than he thought... And for that song and many more he deserves to be remembered!
By chance, it was the Folkestone Ska-bour festival this recent weekend, with the line-up featuring (amongst many): The English Beat, The Dualers, The Skadillacs, Hey Rudi Most of the pubs in the harbour area also provided free live music and/or DJs. Cracking weekend
Whilst plumbing the depths of YouTube, I came across some Japenese Ska! Its brilliant! Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra - "Skaravan"
I like Ska also. This is my favourite reggae artist: Winston Rodney aka Burning Spear. Saw him in the USA many years ago and went home absolutely soaking in the middle of winter as everybody danced their socks off.
