It wouldn't surprise me if he cries when he lands and sees his parents. What an emotional time for him, just seeing London airport and the lights of the city below will fill him with very strong feelings.......

It is certainly very cold in the UK tonight and I'm pretty sure his parents will bring something warm with them.

His story is so sad and horrible, it would be fitting if was met by TV cameras and the press, leading to him being helped financially by the newspapers.

I hope he is not met that way, that would be horribly stressful and alarming for him given what he's been through, he's been stuck in closed spaces for 11 years, the guy is not going to be in any frame of mind to deal with the cameras.

But I agree that I hope that Charlene and Kevin eventually get some help from the Media on this horrible experience they have both suffered.

They, the media, give help and have published stories from people that were actually guilty of serious stuff like drug dealing and getting caught.

Kevin and Charlene were persecuted by the RP Justice system for simply having the audacity to try to make a living and running a business to help people, I think they are rather more deserving of help than many of those who have, before now, received it just because it made a good TV story.

My friend fully expected to be grabbed by the americans and extradited to America when he landed at heathrow,in the end all charges were dropped so he served almost 3 years in the same prison kevin was held in for absolutely nothing.
Theres a program on Blaze channel 63 at this precise moment about the Philippine prison system 700,000 people awaiting trial in a country with 16,000 lawyers, some have been held for 15 years without their case being heard, one guy has had his trial postponed 25 times in 5 years, the system is totally broken.

The last few weeks of Kevin here was the most stressful...needed to sort his airfare and clothes to wear for the flight.... unfortunately his embassy same for the last 11 years wasn't able to help with. I even beg them to arrange pickup for my children to see their father before he left but as expected...they didn't

Though it is painful that you really want able to embrace him nor see him before he left as I really don't have anything on me...the only consultation is that now he is there. I'm waiting to hear from him today..he might be sleeping still as I knew he was really tired. But I'm honestly happy for him and for his parents.

From what i have read on this case, the total inaction of the British embassy has been nothing short of a disgrace, but welcome back home Kevin..

I only hope that none of us on here has to rely on them for help..

Hello everyone, well im finally home, arrived last Wednesday night the 12th, was a long flight spilled two beers down my legs as i was shaking so much all the way home .

Anyways, my father, God bless him and my brother met me at Heathrow, which was amazing if not very emotional, they took me to a travelodge near Prisoners abroad in North London where i spent my first night in 12years on English soil in a proper bed.

The next morning i went to Prisoners Abroad, they didnt want me staying in London so they arranged a coach ticket and accommodation back in my home town, Swindon (top of the league) where ive been ever since.

The authorities here are very accommodating, on Saturday i ordered two new pairs of spectacles, as i know a lady in the shop (God bless you Sally) i recieved preferential treatment and i recieve my new specs this weekend.

Today i went too the local council offices and was made a priority concern and i will be placed in a emergency hostel on Wednesday, i have jumped to the top of the housing list.

Theres still along way to go as i am having problems opening up a bank account here (walang id) but prisoners abroad are helping me with this and it will be resolved soon.

I'm sorry I havent come online to thank all the people in the forum, all youse guys who took the time and trouble to help me and my family, i do appreciate everything the expats have done for us, i thank you all from the bottom of a very proud heart.

Yes ive made it this far, i couldnt have gotten here if it wasnt for certain individuals (Harry) for one.

But now I'm back the the hard work for me starts and thats to reunite my family and to get my not so little girls under my protection in good old blighty.

Once again i thank you all so much.

My freind now is not the time to blast what is the past, now is the the time to look foward to the future, if i thought about all the injustices and lack of action then i would be a very bitter man indeed.. Were British we are conditioned to take things on the chin and to keep a stiff upper lip, which i have tried under extremely difficult circumstances over the years, last year being the worse, again i got over it and have moved on. Thank you for your concern.
