    From the BBC:

UK government launches daily check-in text service

People in self-isolation with suspected Covid-19 symptoms are to receive regular check-in texts from the NHS to check how they are.

On Saturday the UK government launched a new messaging service which will send daily texts to new patients who register their symptoms and contact details with the 111 online service.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock said: "I know all too well that experiencing symptoms can be worrying, but for those living on their own it will be even more so. Alongside other measures, this new daily text service will reassure our most vulnerable that they are not alone, and also to help them manage their symptoms."

The service was commissioned by NHSX and built by NHS Digital and the NHS Business Services Authority.

I did 15 kilometres today, getting cabin fever at home as the gym is closed.

Yeah I remember you saying Mike, your temperature would have been normal at that time, it's not really possible to will yourself to have a higher temperature no matter how anxious one is.

I bought Disney+ at the start of the month and now that it's started streaming I must admit that the content is not that great, yes lots of wonderful movies but the Nat Geo content is quite limited and there is less variety than the likes of Netflix, certainly has all the big sci-fi/fantasy movies I am interested in but its not occupying as much time as I would have thought.

One of my favourite things is sleeping and I've been indulging that a bit :D

Just paid £3 to watch it via Amazon Prime. Interesting parallel though.

Very labour intensive, as is common in India.

All of us had something about a month ago. My wife had a fever and sore throat. She said it was different to normal. The strange thing was that it went the following day. I had a very sore throat but no fever. The sore throat was unusually severe. It too disappeared almost overnight. My daughter had the fever and cough and again it came and went quite quickly. But all three of us had it roughly at the same time give or take a day. Looking back we wonder if we had the virus.

I have a bit of a sore throat but no cough yet, there is a weight on my lungs again but the pulse oximeter says I'm fine for oxygen, my temperature has been above 38 degrees all day but no higher than 38.5 degrees.

One always has to remember that there are other coronaviruses out there and many of them have symptoms like this and other cold and flu viruses as well, I've already had one in January that was really crap and left me feeling lousy for a week.

Well, I hope you pull through this Oss and kick it into touch. I didn’t read back through the thread so was unaware you had a fever first time around.
