Dont worry, on my first spouse visa application one of the refusal reasons was the following "You have enclosed a letter from your employer, which doesnt seem to be from your employer" it was from my employer but they didnt contact my employer to verify anything..

The first thing they will look for is the company registered ( normally found on letter headed paper) they will probably look if it's vat registered they will probably look at your pay slips, tax code, NI number and if all that looks good it probably satisfies them they won't need to go further!
    Good luck with the decision

Once you have given them the Employer's letter, on Company headed paper, they do not, usually, contact the employer, unless a severe discrepancy is noted. Or the letter is way out of date.
I have gone through the various stages Of EU family permits, residence cards, and permanent residence card, plus lately the Full Settled status, with no hitches at all.
On one occasion, I had the whole pack of documents returned, because the Birth Certificates were copies and not the originals. As soon the originals were received, the residence card was issued within 2 weeks. And all bumf returned.

It was a few years ago now but my employer was always hard to catch hold of as he was so busy. So I typed the letter up on headed paper, thrust a pen in his hand when he walked in the door and got him to sign. I then stamped it with the company stamp.

I asked him later and nobody ever contacted him.

I am convinced he never read it. His mind was always on about 10 other things.

hi mate, My wife got a similiar text yesterday that a decision has been made and we should receive her passport by courier as we opted for the silver package at vfs Global. We submitted our visa Feb 2 . I had a feeling that we would get an answer soon as the british embassy said they would be dealing with previous visa applications before they deal with new applications. I Wish you luck with your application :) and pray both our applications are a success.
