Just 5 minutes ago small earthquake whilst browsing this forum, lasted a few seconds my monitor shaking like crazy. Not had the chance to look for the data or where the epicenter was. Had a few of these small quakes in the past. Edit... 3.6, epicenter,Valencia 5 miles from my gaff.
Not unknown to get that size quake in the UK these days. Only ever experienced an Earthquake in the Philippines once in 2006 and again last year but the one in 2019 was actually big but I never noticed as we were in a taxi and I thought the road was rough but my son realised it was an earthquake as he was in the car at the same time, that was a 5.6 or 6 in Manila.
Earthquakes around the British Isles in the last 50 days. they are only tiny quaks Jim. We had a biggish one 6.9 and it ripped up roads and demolished a few buildings, 2012 I think! Quake kills 52 in Negros Oriental | Inquirer News Fortunately I was back in England at the time.
The website you link to shows a 4.6 in 2018 in Wales that was the sort I was referring to But yes you are on the ring of fire and life will be a lot more dangerous as a result. Are you feeling a bit better yet Jim?
What time did it happen, Jim? I wonder if everyone having their beers and meals felt it in "Ynot" cafe/club in Dumaguete. (Went there many times).
Horrible place, the old mamasan used to sit outside with a tricycle with a couple of girls trying to pimp them there used to be a decent pizza place down the street.
I used to have a coffee and a snack and was amazed one night when I went inside to see a nightclub. It was full of G.R.O.'s and it only took 5 seconds before a very pretty one sat down next to me.
It had a reputation, I am talking 25 years back, hotbed of prostitution, do you remember father tropa from 30 years ago? I went to Dumaguete to get across to siquijor but also visited the crocodile place at the University.
I don't remember him as I only went a few times long ago but did realise it was full of ladies of the night in the time that I met my wife over there later, on the way to Siquijor also. I have been to Apo island near Dumaguete many times to scuba dive, hence my name here
Father tropa had a sort of zoo, or rather a collection of animals, had some huge pythons, he was the first filipino hippy I ever saw, he had a place called spaceship 2000.I was offered a house, decent one, near silliman, for around £10k back then, hindsight is a b**ch.
Yeah, about 15 kilometres away. Second quake was worse wife and I thought about running for the door.
A lot different now. The bar has gone and now a restaurant. Coco coco Amiga's has gone and Happy Fred's has gone too. Also they have extended part of the boulevard into the sea. Not sure what will happen at high-tide lol.
That's him, the lamplighter. I just checked jo's chicken into is still there, time passes quickly, when I first ever went I remember sleeping in the park the first night I arrived, there was 2 or maybe 3 hotels in Dgte back then, and all were full, no rooms available.
