This topic was bound to highlight differences in opinion but surely we can all agree in a civilised world Police should not be executing members of the public whatever race or background.

He wasn't executed Jim, those cops weren't the DDS, but kneeling on his neck was a bad move.

The man was murdered, there was nothing about that arrest that warranted the way he was treated.

Was he murdered or was it an act of manslaughter I guess the legal greats will fight it out.

Second degree murder, which is manslaughter in the states.

Oh, I didn't know that, 7 9mm rounds in the back is shocking, children in the car also.

All he had to do was Stop...Put his Hands up. How the F is he still alive. It looked to me he put his hand in his pocket!

Open arrest warrant out for the guy on sexual abuse and domestic violence abuse charges.
Doesn't excuse what the police did but maybe there is more to the opening of the car door than the short video shows.

    Easy thing to do.........

Copper in the USA says stop...

    Intelligent people do it.......

Allegedly "smart" ones end up in a heap on the ground.

The shoot first, ask questions later ,attitude and training of police officers in the States is wrong, but in volatile situations, in a country rife with gun owners, one never knows the outcome of any small confrontation.

Saying that, we don't know exactly how scared or adrenaline charged this particular officer was. Would I have reacted in the same manner?? Hard to say.
But in the Floyd instance, I would not have seen the need to get him out of the car and thrown on the ground, that is for sure.

If in doubt.... If challenged...... lay down and play possum........

Not as clear cut as it first appeared, apparently officers were called as he was brandishing a knife at a gas station :ninja:
