Anyway, I'm still surprised in the current climate that Bennylyn Burke barely receives a whisper in the media.

Most comprehensive and recent news I could find

No doubt there must be much more out there to find if one looks

Yes I am sure that if you asked any of the participants in the 3 pictures (Black Lives matter, Rangers football fans or the lass being restrained) (great photo oppurtunity by the way) they would say Bennylyn who?

Taking the knee is embarrassing for officers on duty  they should have taken a knee for the ladies last night instead of being heavy handed :)

Quite made up, by Zaha refusing to join other players taking the knee, yesterday. common sense can prevail

All it takes is one person to start.

For me he should be Player of the year

I've tried to follow it and not much out there so either police are doing a good job of keeping information tight with a view to convicting or there isn't a lot of press interest. Bit in Bristol and Dundee press.

Dundee paper had something on his court appearance were said nothing to charges which is apparently allowed in Scotland. Think he is due back in court this week.

Hopefully police have enough to nail him with.

Good point... the London bubble strikes again?

Or is it that the BBC is now run predominately by middle class female Uni graduates living in London?

Then again, Cop Killer stories generally get more attention than domestics...

Yup, more mileage in killer cop stories, protector of the public turns predator are quite unusual whereas domestics are ten-a-penny in comparison.

These ladies aren't very happy with the police, love the "Covid-compliant" comment by the lady from another planet

I'm a bit puzzled. What exactly have the police done wrong?

I am not too sure, but it seems that the plod used excessive force against the demonstrating damsels.
I do wholeheartedly agree that an abominable thing happened to Sarah Everard, that brought her to an extremely early violent demise by the hand of a policeman but one must use reason.
    Now..
If a copper tells me, in no uncertain manner, that I have to move along...
    I will comply,
Obviously muttering about the perceived injustice, of course I would, as one does,

Probably the ladies in question felt encouraged to resist by the force and raw feelings of the numbers involved..
Not a good idea, when heart overcomes brains....#

Well, I do sincerely hope that whomever gave the order gets his/her comeuppance

Yes, it is quite disturbing that a young woman and her child is murdered without much in the news.

A lady who says she she was a cousin of Bennylyn (although in the Philippines that can cover a number of relations) has uploaded more photos/videos of Bennylyn.

The stock photo which has accompanied every report about her is a bit of a crap photo (I'm sure that was the best they had at the time), so this montage does bring her back to life, in a way.

FB links always hit and miss, so see how this one turns out.

I wonder who the father of the children is and what happened to her since she arrived in the UK?
Such a terrible end to her life and also to her little one.:cry::cry:
The montage on Facebook shows a carefree young lady in many poses that many of us will relate to.
