    Hi

I've only just arrived in the Philippines and am a little worried about working remotely as I currently still am doing remote work for UK based company (Massive International Company who also has offices here in Manila)

    I have a balikbayan and am thinking I should get a 13a

However I did not get police clearance cert before leaving UK

Ive looked at the 13a forms and its unclear and just says you need NBI if youve been here 6 months but then doesnt mention for people under 6 months what they need.

Anyone with any experience of this?

If you are still tax resident in the UK then you are working in the UK, the dual taxation agreement between the UK and the Phils means you will be taxed in the UK.

Technically you are working and that could be seen as being illegal but how will you get found out?

Also the work you are doing is not a part of the Philippines economy and does not affect the Philippine economy you're not taking work away from anyone.

Other folk have more knowledge of the 13a rules and will no doubt be along soon to advise you.
