Having moved to a new place almost two weeks ago it came as a shock to learn that BT take about 3 weeks to install a phone line and set up broadband:frust:

So, until the 16th I'm without internet from home except on my phone. And due to my usage moving in I have passed my 1GB limit and so now it is as slow as a snail:(

Anyone wondering where I was, I'm afraid I will be less active till the 16th when I can finally get back to my online self....

Same thing happened to my husband and me when we moved in our new appartment. But it was actually quite relaxing NOT to go online every day. I have an internet connection at work and checked my mails there but at the weekend I was completely offline.
Internet fasting or abstinence has become quite popular these days, many people are sick of being connected 24/7. Like Nicholas Carr who wrote this book about his abstinence.
