Hello and :welcome: here, David52 ;)
What connection do you have to the Philippines, if you don't mind me asking?

    Hi there Aposhark.

I am in a relationship with a Filipina who is living in Davao City. Previously have visited the PH twice, in 2018 and 2020, just before the pandemic struck. Hoping to visit there again later this year.

Nice to read that you have visited there, David52 :D
Peoples' travel plans have certainly been affected by Covid, that's for sure.
I believe it is more expensive to travel now

Thanks for getting back to me. I have been looking on Skyscanner and seen prices between £600-700 for travel in September 2022

The issue with Luzon is many flights go via Daveo and or Manila it becomes an internal flight from Hong Kong China and even Abu Dabai but still better for us in Luzon

I always fly to Davao, I remember when manila was the only international entry point into the PI, I just don't like manila as a city, you only get one chance to make a first impression, it's filthy, chaotic, and it stinks, oh and first you meet the airport taxi drivers  Cebu is far better, but Davao beats them both, no chaos whatsoever at the airport ;)

I know David was heading to Dabaw, that's why I said Singapore is best to avoid manila.
