Another relative left the PI earlier today, bound for Texas, his brother in law heads a dialysis unit, he will be working there, pressure creates diamonds and he is one guy who is now shining.

I met a nurse at the weekend, mid-50's really nice lady and interesting to chat to, worked in Singapore, then UK in the early-mid 1990's then Canada, she said she hopes the new government stops the 5000 nurse abroad a year drip-feed limit the philippines currently "allows" as the Philippines needs the remittances and nursing graduates want to go abroad for better lives, she didn't sugar coat it, a refreshing attitude :like:

Your wife may be responsible for the majority of the 31.4 billion dollars remitted back to the Philippines last year.

I was in Kingston hospital today with my hypochondriac friend who thought he was having a heart attack  saw several very professional filipino Nurses in the emergency section (and saw an Indian guy faint after he had been in while his wife had a blood sample taken).

I wonder how the Indian husband would have reacted if he saw the afterbirth of a baby. (It is very big by the way).

It was quite strange as observers aren't allowed in the observation area, his wife went in and so did he, as he was walking out with her he collapsed, out like a light, he had to be taken back into the observation area on his own as he hit the ground with force,as he lay on the ground the nurse kept asking him "Was it the blood?" :D he should have done as asked and sat in the waiting room :D
He is the second bloke I have seen collapse in a week, I got an ambulance last Friday for an old chap who dropped in front of me on the Thames Path, he was having a stroke, I told him I was calling an ambulance, he said "No, I have medicine at home" I don't think he realised he was having a stroke and a headache tablet wasn't going to fix it. Boys are always cutting themselves as they grow up and learn to deal with the red stuff. I wonder why he didn't get used to it whilst growing up - hypochondria is the clue in his case!
I am in hospital these few days and a man two beds away pulled his canula out by mistake. His blood was under pressure and possibly thinned so his pajamas looked like he had been sprayed with bullets.

My ph bro-in-law Fully qualified nurse is planning to go to Germany but he must go to Manila to study German language. There are several going from the Visayans region.
I don't understand why he does not go to Canada or Australia or even UK, he speaks fluent English.

Canada is crying out for nurses at the moment, I know two who are on fantastic cash, moreso when you consider where they came from and the pittance they were earning there.

The two nurses I know who are doing exceptionally well in Canada are travelling nurses, flying into small settlements, they are making 100k+ dollars a year. One of my sons cousins was some form of specialist nurse in the Philippines, tried to get into Quebec as one of his friends was there  but needed French, took lessons for over a year, couldn't quite grasp it, gave up and went to Australia where he met a filipina, also a nurse, and married her.My German is limited, I start learning from an Austrian ex-girlfriend.
