Thanks Mike, Elsa is never sick, but it was worrying to see her like this - she was literally glued to the sofa for a week, couldn't eat, and only drank water. It just shows that even if you're fully jabbed, there is still a risk. I suppose it doesn't help that Elsa works in A & E at the hospital, so all sorts of stuff is floating around. Most of her colleagues were off sick as well.

Don’t get me wrong. I am not an anti vaxer. I simply believe vaccinations have been necessary for the vulnerable only. I have posted this lady’s antibody history before, earlier in the pandemic. She has never been vaccinated against covid. She is in her later 50s and was massively obese but isn’t now at all. Owing to dietary choices eats well and has an excellent immune system. Here are her monthly antibody test results. She never hid during the pandemic. Perhaps the question should be raised. Who is acting more irresponsibly, the anti vaxxer or the carbohydrate addict?

Not directly Covid related but I got my Pneumococcal vaccine yesterday, I was surprised to be offered it as I am under 65, this vaccine is designed not to prevent pneumonia but to make you less likely to die of pneumonia. While talking to the nurse she informed me that the flu vaccine and new Covid vaccine rollout will commence from end of September, not sure if this is a combined vaccine such as was available for part of last year, but given that the first new Covid vaccine from Moderna will be a combined original wild type strain and original Omicron I suspect they might put the flu vaccine in a separate vaccination, the flu vaccines are multivalent (deals with many possible strains of flu) these days anyway. Anyway no symptoms at all from the pneumonia vaccine no temperature, just a dull ache in my arm muscle
I was so angry yesterday, My wife and her sister were being shown a blender in the mall and opposite us there was a shop assistant about 4ft coughing without his face mask on. I shouted at him to put his mask on and I give him a piece of my mind. He put his mask on then walked away without saying anything so I shouted no need for an apolody dong. (sarcasm).
So I finally have caught it. Had to attend a funeral last Friday, started to feel a little off late Saturday night so an incubation period of less than 48 hours closer to 36 hours, felt a bit off most of Sunday but tested negative but called my boss to ask to work from home today, so tested again this morning and yeah I'm positive. Feel fairly well at the moment will update you as to progress of symptoms.
