I wonder if anyone can help with the name of a movie? I saw an incredibly gripping movie about twenty years ago which featured a plot about a courtroom murder case in the 1950's and there was an amazing twist at the end? Sorry I can't be more specific. It may have even been a black and white movie.
A time to kill? Samual Jackson Sandra Bullock, father shoots the 2 rapists of his daughter and it goes to court?
That wasn't the one I am trying to remember, John. The one I am trying to remember was a British movie.

Thanks, John The movie I am trying to think of wasn't just a British courtroom drama. Someone was convicted of a murder and the verdict was overturned right at the end. A friend of mine was jumping up and down when the twist happened and we were both shocked. I lost touch with this friend, my menory is a bit shot as well
Tyrone Power, Marlene Dietrich and Charles Laughton 1957... I'd didn't want to spoil the ending... Witness for the Prosecution ?
I had to watch the opening scenes 3 times. In my opinion, this was the closest I've seen, of the brutality of war shown on the big screen
Yup - mind you I found the other one ... saving private ryan hard to watch too ... how many young Americans died for us in ww2... grateful it wasn't us.
