Now, now, guess what the Argie President is going to do, to divert her citizens attention from a cataclismic impending financial meltdown...?? Or two.....

Maybe some more ill informed and judged rethoric to hit Britain about who owns tha Falklands Islands...?

If they tried to take The Falklands again, I doubt we could do much about it. The islanders would be shipped to Britain before we could do anything about it.

War is always about control of lands or resources, and Argentina wants those resources.

Put it this way, if Scotland goes its own way and leaves the UK, Argentina will invade the Falklands.

    I'd bet money on it.

Interesting thought. Because the "UK" would be militarily weakened, you mean?

I believe the Falklands islands are now impregnable, 1200 troops lots of early warning systems, ground to air missiles, fighter jets based there etc. I also believe there are also better satellite images now that would give us an early warning of Argentina amassing troops. ships and aircraft and so on.

I hope so anyway, as losing the islands would be a huge embarrassment to the country and ruin our reputation to defend ourselves overseas. I would personally like to see our armed forces grow in strength and numbers as you never know what is around the corner in this uncertain world. The armed services is always top of the list for cuts regardless of which political party is in power.

The Philippines are welcome to invade us as long as they leave the balut and the men behind :D
