    HELLO ALL,

I hope you can help me, I'm new here... MY wife got her ILR approved today we applied in person at Lunar House CROYDON, however, we were in a rush and had to get back home so we didnt really have time to check her passport. I told her to just check it in the car but she didn't. She checked it when we got home and found out that they put the wrong year on her DATE OF BIRTH. You would think that you paid 1,250 pounds and they'll get it right but they didn't!

Does anyone know how we can have this amended? I've checked the home office website and there's no information about anything like that on there. WHat number can we call the home office about this? Has anyone here experienced the same thing?

Hope you can help us and thanks in advance!

    Hi and welcome aboard.

I am sorry to hear about this little misadventure :erm:, but on the same breath I would like to congratulate you both for the receipt of the ILR:like:

Cock ups, after forking out so much money for a service, are not supposed to happen, but in this day and age of modern technology, some dyslexic input clerk will obviously blame the computer...

The link contains a lot of phone 0870 numbers. relating to varios offices around the country.

I remember phoning Croydon on a couple of occasions, and in the end some sould did answer the phone, and I suspect it was because he was tired of the bell ringing...:erm:
The chances are that with the right questions, they will guide you into returning the passport to them with accompaning registered letter for obvious amendment.
I believe there should not be any extra cost involved.... But then again..........

here is the link page and good luck. Please let us know what transpires.:like:

I am sure they can correct it. I had wrong date in my SSS before and tried to visit SSS office in London and they corrected it in same day.

    Try to contact UKBA http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/

    Goodluck!
