hello guyz newbie here, need some advice from good people here. I am applying as a personal driver in UK i would like to know some knowledge working there and with the british people live there. Please help me to get ready in my journey working there Thank you so much. Godbless britfilipino!
I'm pretty sure you can drive in the UK on a Philippine licence for a limited period, god knows why As you fellows have already mentioned, its a case of all the paperwork being in order.
no--seriously guys----getting a job in the UK as a driver----? i just hope the poor guy hasnt parted with much hard earned cash yet.
On the odd occasion i return to the UK, i have to use my Philippine license to hire a car even though i am still a British citizen. When they converted the old paper license to plastic, i was not elidgble to apply, as i do not have a permanent UK address. Confuses the car hire companies no end and i usually end up having to show them the rules on the DVLA website The Philippine license is valid for one year in the UK .
Be very careful, as drivers are not a common occupation here and it is not a "shortage occupation". If someone is telling you that you can get a job as a driver here, there is a very good chance that they are trying to scam you.
