I'm pretty sure you can drive in the UK on a Philippine licence for a limited period, god knows why :)

As you fellows have already mentioned, its a case of all the paperwork being in order.

On the odd occasion i return to the UK, i have to use my Philippine license to hire a car even though i am still a British citizen.
When they converted the old paper license to plastic, i was not elidgble to apply, as i do not have a permanent UK address. Confuses the car hire companies no end and i usually end up having to show them the rules on the DVLA website

The Philippine license is valid for one year in the UK .

Be very careful, as drivers are not a common occupation here and it is not a "shortage occupation". If someone is telling you that you can get a job as a driver here, there is a very good chance that they are trying to scam you.

Hello thank you for your response, anyway i am still here living in philippines, my friend gave me this opportunity to work and earn much more in UK. She told me that she has a close friend who is a doctor living there in UK he has a 1 daughter. Now he is looking for a chauffer and a nanny in his house. All contracts and papers was already sent to me. And my friend told me that this is not a scam. As a filipino i am looking for a better oppurtunity and earn bigger than my salary herw in philippines. I wanted to go to a nice place and work happy and peacefully. I really wanted to help my 6 nieces to finish school. That's why i am very willing to take an opportunity there in UK. I really appreciate all your reply's this is very helpful for me.

Having the work contract does not mean eligible to work in the uk. did you get a work visa?
please keep us updated on your progress.
