The journey that I started back in 2009 to find a Filipino wife, was finally realised in March this year. Today, my bride of 4 months, submitted her Visa Application Pack at VFS Global, Cebu. There have been a lot of hiccups since 2009, so I hope this application is successful and that my bride will be here in the UK by mid-October. Hopefully, we can now look forward to many happy years together in the UK.
Good luck Howerd and fingers crossed for you mate. Can i ask did you go down the disability route for the financal exemption.
Yes, it was the only way for me. Luckily, the disabled exemption still exists, but could be withdrawn any time. Just need to hang on to my savings and hope my wife is working at the next stage, should the disability exemption be removed by then.

Well I am pretty sure my wife wants me! She is on Skype to me every morning and every evening without fail!!
I was talking to my wife earlier, talking about our days on Skype, you soon forget about those days. I also mentioned that I was constantly counting down the days when I visited her in Dubai or Manila to when I had to go home, bad mistake on my part doing that as it detracted from the time spent with her. Skype will soon be a distant memory for you Mr. Howerd
I am sure you have told her she will be more than welcome, if I remember rightly she has popped in once or twice, am I correct?
my fiancee cant get skype where she lives--which is a pain. so we chat on fbook most days--with instant messenger for pictures. i created an a/c for her on here--but shes a bit shy to post.
Good luck Howerd, it sure is an emotional roller-coaster until you finally see your wife step off that plane onto UK soil. Then your lives will change forever and you can look back and remember the long waits you endured ! Jonny
