Yes, a couple of times but she does not like to chat on social media with people she does not know. So, it was ironic that she agreed, on social media, to marry me, before we even met!
Yes, I should see her literally step off the plane as she will arrive at Humberside Airport. My life will definitely change - she will be doing the cooking, cleaning etc which I have done myself for the past 40+ years. But I will help her of course. Then there is the question of going to church, which I have committed myself to. Finally, she says my cat is not allowed in the bedroom, but I will get around that problem somehow.
Congratulations and all the best. When wifey arrives, we could all meet up as I believe you are/near Manchester?
Hehe,..I remember the first night we spent together at my bachelor pad here in Scotland,..she woke up,.. grabbed a tissue,..... and started to wipe the dust off the window ledge before I had even got out of bed !! Don't think she has ever stopped cleaning since, and that was 11 years ago. Think the cat will be allowed anywhere once it cuddles up to her .. Jonny
Joy wants to meet up too and we could make it a day out to visit in Manchester. I am about 90 miles east of Manchester, along the M62. She aims to be here October 15th.
Yes good luck Howerd. I was just saying to my asawa today that the time seems to go much more slowly now that I'm waiting for the visa decision. Been doing our long distance relationship since 2011 and more than a quarter of a million miles later I'm looking forward myself to seeing an end to the long flight to NAIA..
My wife is great for that. Very tidy and always cleaning. It makes me lazy. But the place is great to live in. Except I cannot always find anything as it doesnt lay around for 5 minutes.
Not a bad thing John, I know from my own experience that it can make you a little lazy, I have literally forgotten how to switch the oven on now the missus is here, I had to get the cooker instructions out the other week when I was left on my own for a while. Don't get me wrong, the missus isn't always cooking, we must go out for meals three times a week when I'm home, I'm a big believer that if someone is better suited to a task then it makes sense for them to do it.
I am suddenly feeling lonely after completing the visa application. Nothing to do and my wife has been busy with church every day this week as soon as she finishes work and until she goes to bed.
